Job Hunting

The time has come to stop having my fun and get back to business, well, I stopped having my fun on October 31 and got back to business on November 1. Unfortunately, it’s easier to have fun then to get back to business. I have applied for so many jobs at several locations and only two have contacted me back to let me know they gave the job to someone else. It’s getting a little crazy and I am getting a little discouraged. My severance doesn’t last forever, hell; December 22 is actually my cutoff date. That’s a little over a month away. I have my savings and IRA as back up, but, I don’t want to use any of that money because the savings is for me to put a down payment on a house when I move to Orlando (granted I find a job there).  My IRA is for my future retirement or extreme emergency.

I don’t want to get desperate because I have a lot of skills and knowledge. I want to use it to the fullest and not have it go to waste; “use it or lose it”. Unless I can hit the lotto or something, I have to keep pushing. However, it’s hard to keep pushing when no one is around for you. I know there are a lot of people out there that are out of work, so I’m fighting against them as well. Now knowing that this is going on, how are things going to be when I actually graduate with my B.A.?
